Hand pads and mouth pieces are required for ALL Kumite competitors.
Current ISKF/Mid-America membership required.
TOURNAMENT EVENTS
10th Kyu – Dan Ranks: Individual Kata and Kumite
Kumite Requirements: Collegiate and Adult Kyu Ranks 10th - 4th Kyu-Ippon Kumite
6th - 4th kyu add mae-geri
Men and Women will be separated for kumite, but may be combined for kata.
Collegiate Tournament will be contingent on interest shown.
Club Team Events
Senior Kata, Adult Kata-Teams may be mixed gender, but must be from the same club.
Adult and Senior Kumite-members must be from the same club and be the same gender.
TOURNAMENT FEES (Payable to Mid-America Karate, Inc.)
1 event $25, 2 events $40 No charge for team events, if doing individual event
$10 charge for participation in collegiate events-College students may also
enter adult division(s) for $20
JUDGES
All adult black belts in attendance may be called upon to officiate.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We will need workers to assist at the scoring tables, with the organization and
distribution of the medals, and with record keeping. Family members are
encouraged to participate.
